Buy a Lights-Out license
License information
You can evaluate Lights-Out for a period of 30 days. When the evaluation has expired, Lights-Out will revert to a Community Edition mode. In this mode, Lights-Out is free for personal use only.
To use the full functionality after 30 days, a license is required. A license may be purchased at any time during or after the 30 day evaluation period. The purchase of a license entitles you to activate Lights-Out on the number of licensed servers.
Maintenance and Support
The purchase of a license includes 1 year support and maintenance which will cover all updates to Lights-Out published during that period. Support and maintenance can be extended annually as a subscription.
If you do not extend support and maintenance after expiration, the license is still valid but you are no longer entitled to use newer versions.
Feature Matrix
Use the Feature Matrix to compare the free Community Edition with a Home, Professional or Business Edition.
You can use each license on each platform! There is no platform limitation, i.e. you can use a Home Edition on a Windows Server 2025. The only limitation concerns company users, they absolutely need a business edition independent of the platform.

Buying a license
We are using the English company Paddle as reseller. Paddle handles payment and tax. The payment will appear on your bank statement as *PADDLE.NET.
Language and country
At the bottom left you can set your language for the purchase. If you enter your country, your national currency will be displayed. For private customers, your e-mail address, country and zip code are recorded when you make a purchase. No further details are required.
Import for business customers
In the second step, please click on “Add VAT number” and enter this together with your company address. This is the only way to ensure that you receive a correct invoice.
